The Founding Fathers Said...

It is the madness of folly, to expect mercy from those who have refused to do justice; and even mercy, where conquest is the object, is only a trick of war; the cunning of the fox is as murderous as the violence of the wolf. - Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 1, December 19, 1776

H.R. 3590, the Senate’s version of the ObamaCare Bill, is a whopping 2,075 pages of turgid prose and bureaucratic hieroglyphics. It is purposely indecipherable to nearly every American including the Senators who will vote on its passage.

So what are these folks up too? To help make sense of this mammoth social engineering project, I used the search function to count some of the more significant words and phrases used in the bill.

For example, “doctor” appears only 6 times, while “physician” is included 153 times.

The most significant word in the bill is “shall”, which indicates a new law is being made or amended. “Shall” appears 3,607 times or one and half times a page. The phrase “Secretary shall” shows up 725 times, an entire library of laws made by executive fiat without congressional oversight. “Secretary may require” also appears an additional 39 times.

“Alien” is included 10 times overall, and 8 times followed by the phrase “lawfully present”. “Citizenship” only appears 5 times.

There are some words and phrases that are missing from this bill. These include “cardiologists”, ” infectious disease”, “neurosurgeon”, ” research physician”, ” research hospitals”, “orthopedic surgeon”, and “ophthalmology”. These folks obviously had ineffective lobbyists. There was no mention of the word “liberty”, “Constitution”, and “individual rights”. “Freedom” has exactly two occurrences, both times followed by the phrase “not to participate”.

“Ethics in government”, a funny oxymoron, shows up twice. My favorite phrase, which also appears twice, ” … conflict of interest standards protecting against insurance industry involvement and interference” We have to make sure those evil insurance companies are kept at bay.

“Community” occurs an eye popping 341 times, “community-based” 103 times, “community based” 98 times, (thought no one would notice, Senator Reid?),”community health” 73 times and “community based care setting” 7 times. Congress does not attempt to hide the fact that it really wants ACORN to intervene and significantly aid in controlling your healthcare.

Clearly this bill allows Obama’s socialist administration to claim physical ownership over every American’s body; their bones, cells, nerves, organs, out to their skin. We also can clearly see the carbon cap and trade bill as Obama’s socialist administration claiming physical ownership over every American’s environment; the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the cars we drive, the products we produce, and the homes we live in. Like all things abhorrently evil these bills come packaged in banality and indifference, while pretending to do good, veritable rabid wolves in sheep’s clothing.
